Before you distribute photographs, videos or other material that depicts Sweden's land areas from the air, you must apply for a dissemination permit from Lantmäteriet. Once your application has been registered, you will receive an invitation to our file transfer service. If you have selected ordinary post, you will receive the address to send your material to. But first, you must prepare your material properly.
How long does it take to get a distribution permit?
We are currently handling cases from week 32. The estimated processing time is about 80 working days if you apply today.
We handle cases in the order we receive the material. The processing time can vary depending on how many cases are in the queue and the extent of the material.
Submit your application
Before submitting your application, it is important to check that your material fulfils the preconditions for approval. You must also indicate whether we may retouch your material in connection with the review.
- Fill in the application form and submit it. It works best in a browser installed on your computer.
- Once your application has been registered, you will receive an email with a case number and instructions on how to deliver your material.
- When we have received the material, your case will be placed in a queue. During the processing period, you may be contacted if there are any questions.
- You will receive a notification via e-mail with the decision attached.
State the geographical area
In order to simplify the review of your material, please mark the geographical area in the application form map support.
Select an area or a point. Marking a point is suitable, for example, if you have photographed a residential building. Or select the option to upload information (exif data) from your GPS tagged images.
